This is the system reference for LEGYRO Football. It explains what the main career values are for, how they relate to each other and why the game should be read as a changing career context rather than a collection of isolated scores.
OVR
OVR is the headline representation of the player's current football level. It is useful, but it should not be read as the entire career.
OVR gives a compact view of where the player currently sits. As a career develops, changes in level can influence the kind of opportunities and expectations surrounding the player.
Two players with a similar OVR can still have very different careers because age, development, morale, previous route, decisions and current context can differ.
DEVELOPMENT
Development exists to describe progress around the player's current level. It helps make a young player's situation different from that of a more established player with a similar headline rating.
Development is especially important while the player is still building toward a higher level. A strong early trajectory can change what becomes possible later.
The meaning of development changes as the career matures. The game is designed around a full arc, so permanent growth is not the only interesting state a player can experience.
MORALE
Morale is one part of the context surrounding the player. It helps communicate whether the current environment is positive, difficult or unstable without replacing the player's underlying level.
Morale makes more sense when viewed alongside recent performance, club circumstances and career events. It is contextual information, not a simple “win or lose” meter.
A career can involve trade-offs. Protecting one value at all costs can produce a less interesting route than making a decision that fits the wider career situation.
THE MARKET
The market is the system that turns progression into possible movement between clubs. Offers should be read as career opportunities rather than automatic upgrades.
LEVEL
The player's current level is part of the context for which clubs and routes can make sense at that stage.
ROUTE
The previous path matters because the career is not generated in a vacuum. Your history helps give later movement meaning.
TIMING
An opportunity that fits perfectly in one season may be less attractive in another if the player is still developing or building something important at the current club.
DECISIONS
Decision events are one of the main ways LEGYRO creates variation between careers. They present situations where the player has to choose a direction without knowing that one answer will always dominate.
Some options are designed around trade-offs. A more ambitious route can carry uncertainty, while a safer answer can protect the current situation but close another possibility.
The same type of decision can feel different when made by a young prospect, an established player or someone approaching the final stages of a career.
CLUB RELATIONSHIPS
Staying with one club can build a deeper history, while moving can open new opportunities. LEGYRO supports both ideas because the final career should reflect the route the player actually took.
A long spell can create a strong club legacy and make later decisions more significant. Staying is not automatically a failure to progress.
A transfer can change competition, expectations and future opportunities. The value of moving comes from what the new chapter adds to the full history.
TROPHIES & HONOURS
Trophies and supported individual honours are recorded because major achievements are part of how a sporting career is remembered.
Honours appear in the career history and help describe which seasons became the defining moments of the run.
Where the profile supports a trophy or collection milestone, earning it can also contribute to the local Trophy Room beyond the active career.
RETIREMENT
LEGYRO is designed around finite careers. Retirement closes the run and lets the player evaluate the entire story instead of measuring success only by the strongest season.
A high peak OVR can be memorable, but so can longevity, trophies, loyalty, a difficult recovery or an unusual route through multiple clubs and countries.
Supported completed-career data can be preserved in the local profile so a retired player remains part of your wider LEGYRO history.
PROFILE LAYER
The active save is only one part of LEGYRO. The local profile can aggregate achievements, career records and collection progress across supported completed careers on the same device.
